Lifting Platform
Hoist/Vehicle Lift
Definition:
A lifting platform is a mechanical or hydraulic lifting system that is used to lift vehicles or loads so that maintenance, testing, or repair work can be carried out safely and ergonomically.
Lifting platforms are used in workshops, test centers, logistics centers and industrial plants and provide safe access to underbody, wheels and other components.
There are various designs, including two-post, four-post, scissor and in-floor lifts.
Safety Regulations
The operation of lifting platforms is subject to strict safety requirements. Operators must be trained and systems must be regularly tested (e.g. UVV inspection in Germany in accordance with DGUV requirements).
Logistics Context
In logistics and freight forwarding companies, lifting platforms are used, among other things, to maintain trucks and logistics equipment. Mobile lifting platforms facilitate repairs directly in warehouse or yard areas.

Challenges when using lifts:
Risk due to improper operation and lack of instruction
Untrained operators and lack of safety instructions lead to accidents, trapped people, crashes or damage to vehicles.

Access and risk areas in industrial sites
Drivers or external service providers often do not know whether they have access to lift areas or which safety zones they are not allowed to enter.

Loady's solution:
Clear location rules for workshop and maintenance areas
Loady makes it transparent whether lift areas may be entered, which access rules apply and whether site personnel will operate them. This reduces misconduct and security risks.
Multilingual safety and PPE requirements
Drivers and service providers receive clear information in advance on PPE requirements, restricted zones and rules of conduct, which is particularly important in workshop and maintenance areas.
